My Sid Dickens Scrapbook

This is my generic Sid Dickens Scrapbook. I say generic because it's a simple binder with printed photo pages and particularly short on pizzazz! I started it almost two years ago after receiving my first tile. It originally started out as just a way of keeping track of my inventory. Now I want it to be so much more! I plan to completely redo it by using 3-d scrapbooking techniques and the typical scrapbooking embellishments. Finding the time to do this is one thing. Actually making one so unique would have to make me a true Sid addict for sure!
Currently in this book I keep my inventory list, pictures of my displays, sample pictures of other collector’s displays and information on how to obtain SID SAVERS for hanging the tiles.
If I remember I take this with me when we visit Sid retailers. It's a good conversation piece when discussing the blocks with the sales associates and store guests who I find admiring the tiles on display.

That's so clever! How many sids blocks do you have? Do you live close to somewhere that you can get the sid savers easily? I have to order mine from Cali. I think it would be great to have a sids scrapbook.

Currently I have 39 and I love them all! None of the retailers around here sell sid savers as of yet. I am hoping they will someday soon. As of right now I just order the sid savers from Casa Bella in Cali. I have also ordered a few tiles from them but most of what I own came from Ohio retailers.
How many tiles do you have and how long have you been collecting kc mom?

Hi Suzie,
I had no idea that there was an entire society of Sid fans out there. I guess since he's a local artist I never thought he'd have such a fandom outside of the local area!

I've known about his tiles for at least 12 years, and bought them for others over the years. But it was only this year that I finally spoiled myself and started a collection. Your site is beautiful and gives me lots of ideas for continuing my own collection.

Hi love your page! I am in search of a retired block T79 Eternity. Given you are an avid collector I thought you may be able to point me in the right direction. I have listed my request on Sidcollectors but I am expanding my search with the hopes that one will come up sooner rather than later. Any help would be most appreciated. Kind regards The Juddos

In response to The Juddos,
You will find very honest people on the www.SidCollectors.com boards so this is a very good choice to start with locating the tile you are looking for. Another site you can post your request is www.siddickenscollectors.com I don't think they get as much traffic as the other site but it is worth a shot. I highly recommend buying through one of the people on the board rather than e-bay. And before you buy ask the sid collector who is the site administrator if they have been a long time member before purchasing as they know most of the colloctors. I hope you find the tile you are looking for. I have it and LOVE it!
