Sid Dickens Framed Trio

Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2008 marked my two year Sid Dickens collecting anniversary.
.
I now have 41 tiles in my collection and as of midnight tonight all 41 of them are displayed!
.
The newest and currently my lover's favorite display is the framed trio with Amore, Floating Red Hearts w/ Script and Destiny w/ red heart.
.
After doing some rearranging of displays last night we were left with only three tiles and wasn’t sure what to with them or where to even hang them. We laid them side by side each other on the floor and just like that we decided they belonged together.
.
This new display hangs to the right of the framed Home Shield in my Office / Craft Room.

I love how that looks...did buy the frame to fit those already made or is the frame made for them.

The frame was not made for Sid Dickens. Framing the three tiles this way was purely accidental. It was actually a shadow box style frame that I was planning on using for a totally different project. After doing some rearranging of displays last night we were left with only three tiles and wasn’t sure what to with them or where to even hang them. We laid them side by side each other on the floor and just like that we decided they belonged together. Then I remembered buying the frame and not starting my other project is was intended for. We placed it right over the tiles and knew it would better suit them displayed in a frame rather than the usual borders I do with the tiles. These are now displayed to the right of my framed Home Shield in my Office / Craft Room.

Wow, that's a lot of tiles! I have almost all of mine displayed. I think there are two that are in a cabinet. I haven't even gone in to look at Sid Dickens tiles lately because I can't resist them! I need to finish hanging the ones I have before I buy more.

Suzie! I can only dream of having 41 blocks! They are so beautiful and I actually became aware of them three years ago. Your shadowbox frame is perfect for the three you chose to display together!
Blessings to you for the new year!

I think I will have to see this collection in person before I decide what I like. Right now I am only feeling one maybe two of them. Who knows, maybe once I see them in person I will love them all. Which is your favorite?

OMG! What a BRILLANT Idea! Please know that I'm stealing this from you, but will give you credit :)

I'm sad to annount though, this holiday season I had to lay to rest one of my SD's. Friends were over and they thought they'd be funny by rearranging our ENTIRE house when we were not here. The took our SD's off the wll in the living room and laid them all over and one was put on a hook that had a picture on it and when we came in and shut the door, it feel to the floor and shattered (plus it dented our brand new mocha hardwood floor) :(

I'm still in morning.

Hi It’s Daddies Plural!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for commenting! I am much newer to blogging than you so you have all rights to steal my idea! And I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I am sure you will out do me!

Your blog is really touching and I am so glad I found it to follow! What a wonderful thing to be a parent right? I have a 21 year old son and he is my whole world! Couldn’t imagine what my life would have been without him!

So sorry to hear about your Sids accident! I would be so sad if any of mine broke! Did you save the broken tile? I know someone I met through the www.sidcollectors.com message boards that fixes them to perfection for only a small charge! His link is on the home page down on the right hand side, “see the magic of Brian the Sid Doctor” Tell him Free2BeMe350z AKA Suzie of Amherst, Ohio sent you! Also on the left where it says click the photo gallery look in the middle row, forth picture from the left, that is me and my lover!

I jujst started collecting tiles in December of 06’ but I already have 41 in my collection and one on it’s way that I won from the SidCollector!

How many do you have?
